CAT | true story of a cat who spoke
I just found a video on You Tube called The Singing Cat. Its a video of a beautiful well cared for looking cat and very nicely filmed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljmjmvMTWyY&NR=1
The person who made that video loves their cat very much.
Nothing to do with singing though, its a sound that a cat makes when he or she sees something he would like to catch but can’t. I’ve seen similar cat behaviour when a cat sees a fly or insect up high on the ceiling or a bird outside behind a closed window, that is unattainable.
I had a Cat Companion that spoke, only once mind you and it wasn’t a vague ‘miaow’ that sounded like a word, it was a most definite word. The cat in question was a large Marmalade neutered Tom called Timmy. He strayed into our lives one day and I had always hankered after a Ginger Cat, so we took him in. At that point in my life I was married and lived and worked in a Stately Home near Plymouth, Devon that was open to the public. Timmy used to wander the rooms of the mansion and was friendly with visitors and guides alike. He had huge charm, charisma and confidence.
He had a nice cats behaviour for if you said ‘hello’ to Timmy he answered back with a loud ‘maiow’. One day, sitting at the breakfast table with my husband, one of us said our usual ‘hello’ to Timmy and he answered back with a big ‘hello’ too. Stuart (my husband) and I were literally dumb struck for a few seconds, it was like the normal world had suddenly turned upside down.
Stuart’s first response was ‘We could get him on TV’. I personally thought that this was not a great Cat care idea, or a great response to Timmy’s first word. I don’t think Timmy thought much of Stuart’s idea either, because he never uttered a single word again!
