Here’s an interesting You Tube video about a Crow who brought up an abandoned kitten. A Crow caring for a Cat seems unlikely, but here it is on film folks!

I had an experience with a Rook and a Cat, but it wasn’t such a loving one.
I brought a Rook chick home after finding it in the middle of the road one day, the nest had been blown down from a tree in a Gale and the other two chicks were dead.
When my Cat Ginge saw the chick a look of utter contempt appeared on his face. The relationship between Bird and Cat was a strained one from then on.
I was afraid that Ginge would eat the bird, so found a large cage to put the bird in. After a while this seemed unnecessary, as Ginge did his best to pretend that the bird didn’t exist. This proved difficult, when the Rook dive bombed him every time he stepped outside the door.
Ginge used to sleep on my bed and one day as usual, forgetting that the bird could fly well by this stage, I had left the bedroom window open. I heard a commotion upstairs and rushed up to find Ginge outside on the window ledge and the bird perched happily on the bed. Ginge slept in the airing cupboard after that incident.
After a few months of having his cozy Cat life disrupted, the Rook flew away never to be seen again. Ginge could get back to his life of ease and leisure unpressured by the pesky chick.
